GeoGenetics Sequencing Core
DNA sequencing provides the core data to answer many biological questions. The NGS core facility housed at the center, enables studies of genomics, metagenomics, environmental DNA, biodiversity, conservation, and aspects of cancer biology to mention a few. The facility service national and international academic labs and external partners.
In 2009, the group around GeoGenetics established high-throughput DNA sequencing infrastructure, via a governmental grant. Since then, the GeoGenetics Sequencing Core and its associated research have created a foundation for conducting genomic studies, in addition to making Denmark internationally recognized within key scientific disciplines such as ancient DNA and evolution. Equipped with a variety of the latest instruments for high-throughput sequencing, we service a wide range of projects within the areas of population genomics, genetics, conservation, biodiversity, evolution, environmental DNA, viral diversity, and human diseases. Our collaborators/customers include national and international academic labs and biotech companies.
