I am interested in the formation of planets in the protoplanetary disks surrounding young stars. In particular, I work on computer simulations of the streaming instability, a promising mechanism to form planetesimals -- akin to asteroids and Kuiper belt objects and the building blocks of planets -- and a source of turbulence in these disks.
