Product development research
In the Product Development section, we aim to enhance our understanding of rock flour's composition as well as assess the extent and distribution of rock flour resources along the Greenland coast. Our research also focuses on developing efficient and sustainable processing and export methods while minimizing environmental impact and health risks. We strive to optimize rock flour for practical use in agriculture.
By addressing the following research gaps, we aim to enhance our understanding of rock flour's potential and optimize its application in various agricultural practices.
- Composition and Grain Size Variability: How much does the composition and grain size of rock flour vary?
- Impact on Soil Fertility: How do the variations in chemical composition and grain size of rock flour, as well as the method of application (e.g., pelletized, granulated, powdered, or slurry), affect soil fertility?
- Resource Quantity and Distribution: What is the extent and distribution of rock flour resources along the coast of Greenland?
- Sustainable Exploitation: How can rock flour be efficiently processed, packaged, and exported while minimizing energy consumption, environmental impact, and health risks? Furthermore, how can it be optimized for practical use in agriculture?
